The nation's top law enforcement official, the Attorney General, announced Habba's resignation on the start of the week. She commented that the court's "flawed" ruling made it unworkable for the official to effectively run her office.
"Let no one confuse following the order as giving up," she declared. "My fight will now extend throughout America."
