Gunners forward Viktor Gyokeres fails to make the cut in Graham Potter's initial Sweden squad, whereas Liverpool forward Alexander Isak has earned a place

The 27-year-old missed the Gunners' Champions League win against Slavia Prague earlier this week

Isak Makes Comeback

The Liverpool striker, who hasn't featured from late October because of muscle issues, was selected to play in World Cup qualifying fixtures versus the Swiss team (15 November) plus the Slovenian side (18 November)

Additional England-based Inclusions

  • Spurs playmaker Lucas Bergvall, who is recovering after a head knock
  • Newcastle winger Anthony Elanga

Both athletes were included in the England-based players selected by former Brighton, Chelsea and West Ham manager the new Swedish coach

The New Manager's Hiring

Potter was named by Sweden originally temporarily in late October, less than four weeks following leaving by West Ham

Even if they don't manage to claim the runner-up spot, they may yet participate in the qualification playoffs due to of their results during the previous Nations League
