President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the family of a National Guard member killed last week to visit the executive mansion.

He noted that he spoke to her family and they were “heartbroken”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a violent incident on Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her fellow service member, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in grave state.

The president stated he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, come to the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” the president informed journalists. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Authorities have indicted a 29-year-old suspect with a charge of homicide and charges of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.

Andrew Wolfe, a native of the city, enlisted in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, per the news agency.
