The British tennis star earned the most important win of his professional journey by rallying from a lost first set to overcome top-ranked player Carlos Alcaraz with a stunning comeback in the second round of the prestigious indoor tournament.

While he had previously defeated Alcaraz on two prior meetings, this victory represents Norrie's first ever win over a sitting world No 1.

Norrie, seeded No 31, also stopped Alcaraz's impressive run of nine straight final appearances and 17 straight elite tournament wins, which was the top run of performances in the young champion's developing career.
