Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation Specialists Undergo Members of Parliament's Questioning Following Assertions of Prejudice in Disclosed Memorandum
We begin with inquiries from Conservative MP the panel's head, that leads the group.
She opens by providing context to the leaked document prepared by Michael Prescott and released in a national newspaper.
"I don't want the BBC leaning this way or that way, I simply desire it straight, fair and fair," he says.
When asked if he believes the BBC is structurally prejudiced, Prescott replies: "No I don't. It is important to note, tons of stuff the BBC produces is exceptional - including factual and entertainment content."
Nevertheless, he states: "There remains significant effort that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
The second ex-adviser BBC consultant examined by the committee, Caroline Daniel, remarks she regards the British Broadcasting Corporation with great importance and that it has a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" regarding evolving and intricate subjects.
"Whether the BBC was willing to have a thorough conversation and argument and implement changes?" she reflects. "From my perspective, indeed, they were."
