In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.

The mission centers on "bizarre tests and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana in addition to multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
